A 17-year-old girl said her parents’ personal trainer sent her “creepy” messages on Facebook, according to court records.
Joshua J. Maney, 33, of Waukesha, is charged with two counts of exposing a child to harmful materials. He could be sentenced to three years prison if convicted.
A criminal complaint filed in Racine County Circuit Court states that Town of Waterford police began investigating a possible child enticement complaint last week. The girl said Maney sent her unwanted “creepy” messages on Facebook.
She told her parents about the messages, and said her mother’s fiance then began to communicate with Maney, pretending to be the girl. The messages included sexually explicit comments and photographs as well as requests to get together.
Officers spoke to Maney, who reportedly admitted sending the messages and explicit photographs.
Maney is in custody on a $250 cash and $5,000 signature bond.
