Following a county-wide manhunt for a man suspected of kidnapping a woman and shooting at police in Union Grove, the Women’s Resource Center will have trauma advocates for those effected by the event.

Law enforcement officials apprehended kidnapping suspect Stantavious Armond Sillas, 20, on Monday afternoon after a shootout in the parking lot at Piggly Wiggly, 4400 67th Dr. Sunday afternoon, according to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Christopher Schmaling told reporters with TMJ 4 that “Sillas abducted a woman from a medical facility in Rochester.”

“Anyone who would like to talk or debrief about the events that have occurred in our community in the last 24 hours is welcome to come,” according to a press release by the Women’s Resource Center.

Advocates will be available from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Racine Public Library, 75 7th Street, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 23 at the Martin Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dealership, 1422 Main St.
