A state trooper patrolling Interstate 94 early Saturday morning stopped a car and reportedly discovered several illegal items.
A passenger in the car, Javonte Denzel Davis, Milwaukee, is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, carrying a concealed weapon and concealing stolen property after a traffic stop early Saturday morning.
According to the criminal complaint, The trooper pulled over the vehicle at 2:47 a.m. Saturday. During a search, the trooper found a paper bag on the floor containing a box of ammunition. A pistol with a scratched-off serial number was found under the third row of seats, along with a plastic bag filled with suspected marijuana.
The gun had been reported stolen out of Texas.
The material in the bag tested positive for the presence of THC, the active chemical of marijuana. It weighed 409.1 grams, nearly a pound.
Davis is being held on $5,000 cash bond.
