Union Grove – A woman was hospitalized after her husband ran over her with his truck during a domestic dispute at 10:43 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department were called to a residence in the 700 block of Vine Street after the woman reported that “her husband had run her over and to call the cops.” Her husband was screaming at her while she made the call, according to a press release by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.

When law enforcement officials and rescue personnel from the Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department arrived on scene, they found the 46-year-old woman laying on her porch. Bleeding heavily from her ankle, the woman told police that she and her husband were fighting earlier. During the argument he left in his truck and drove his truck over her ankle.

Rescue personnel took the woman to Aurora Memorial Hospital in Burlington where she was treated for a compound fracture to her right ankle.

The woman’s husband was arrested for second-degree reckless Endangering Safety, substantial battery and domestic violence.
