Update: Racine Police have identified the shooting victim as Tyler Strausser, 19, of 1935 Taylor Ave.

His condition is unknown at this time, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

Investigators have learned that Strausser was the target during the home invasion and robbery, which was not random.

Original  story: A 19-year-old man is in serious condition after being shot Sunday evening in a residence near 20th Street and Taylor Avenue, according to a story by CBS 58.

When police arrived, they found the man had been shot several times. In serious condition, the man was initially taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital – All Saints, but then transported by a Flight For Life helicopter to  Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

Officials are still investigating the events that happened before the shooting. They are searching for one suspect, who is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, about six-feet tall and weight about 160 pounds. He was last seen armed with a gun, and wore a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
