The National Weather Service has issued an urgent wind advisory for portions of Wisconsin. This is an addition to the Hazardous Weather Outlook that was issued by National Weather Service at 10 a.m. today. The wind advisory will take effect beginning at 10 a.m. and go until 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

This advisory affects the following counties:

  • Kenosha
  • Marquette
  • Green Lake
  • Fond du Lac
  • Sheboygan
  • Sauk
  • Columbia
  • Dodge
  • Washington
  • Ozaukee
  • Iowa
  • Dane
  • Jefferson
  • Waukesha
  • Milwaukee
  • Lafayette
  • Green-Rock
  • Walworth

Wind Advisory Conditions

These counties will be affected by southwest winds going 25 to 30 mph. Wind gusts are expected to reach 50 mph. It is possible that these strong winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result because of the powerful winds.
