Another vacant home in the City of Racine went up in flames, caused massive damage and is under investigation.
Racine firefighters were called at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday to the 1600 block of Edgewood for a report of a fire. When crews arrived, they found a significant fire in the attic that eventually caused the roof to collapse.
Nearby neighbors exited their homes for safety while firefighters extinguished the blaze.
The fire caused approximately $95,000 in damage and is under investigation.
The Journal Times is reporting that neighbors told police a family recently moved out of the home.
A vacant home in the 1600 block of David Street on Oct. 27 suffered $25,000 in damage from a fire on the first floor.
