The 23-year-old man who died Tuesday after colliding with two vehicles has been identified as Jakob Flohr.

A story in The Journal Times confirms his name and features a photo of Flohr with his two-year-old son, Grayson.

Mount Pleasant police say a 69-year-old woman in an SUV was traveling north on Highway 31 when she executed a left turn onto Highway 38. Flohr was riding his motorcycle southbound and collided with the SUV. The impact of the crash caused Flohr to hit another SUV that was stopped at the red light in the eastbound lanes.

Despite police and an off-duty paramedic attempting life-saving measures, Flohr died at the scene.

He was not wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation.
