Accused wife killer Cristian Loga-Negru appeared Friday before Racine County Circuit Court Judge Eugene Gasiorkiewicz for a competency hearing.
During the proceeding at which the defendant appeared without an attorney, he said he believes he is competent to stand trial and does not challenge the findings of state psychiatrist Dr. Robert Rawski.
Loga-Negru said he will retain an attorney by Monday. His preliminary hearing is Dec. 30.
