Racine, WI: In unanimous votes, the Visioning a Greater Racine (VGR) Board of Directors accepted the nominations of two passionate community advocates to fill executive leadership positions on the board. Mario Martinez has been named as President-elect and Jomarie Coloriano will fill the vacant Secretary seat. Martinez is a Racine native, President and CEO of the Marz Group, City of Racine Planning commissioner, and Chairman and Founder of Amigos de Cesar Chavez Community Center. “I am humbled and truly honored to help lead the charge for an organization that in my opinion has set the mark for reinforcing the true meaning of community engagement, inclusion and empowerment,’Martinez said. “My hopes are that we continue on this mission to create a positive force for social development for all our communities here in the great city of Racine.”
