Journalism. We believe it should help you live a better life.
That’s why we spend a lot less time on publishing mug shots and a lot more time helping you understand the employment market, figure out how to spend more time with friends and family with our events calendar, and what you can do to help businesses that have opened up. Make no mistake…we aren’t shy. We tackle the big stuff, like COVID and issues around race.
And if you believe in the value of journalism — that it should help, not exploit — please consider becoming a paid member of the Racine County Eye today. We can’t do this work without you.
Rep. Robin Vos is running to retain his seat as both the representative of the 63rd Assembly District and as Speaker of the Assembly.
He made the announcement Thursday on his Facebook page and then established a campaign Facebook page shortly after.
“I’m excited to announce my run for re-election to the Wisconsin State Assembly representing Racine County in the state Capitol,” the short post reads.
Supporters quickly put up words of support.
Peter S. Karlovics said, “A voice for common sense, good policy, and decency. Please continue doing a great job.”
Steffanie Lucareli West agreed.
“Keep up the good work Robin!! Way to represent Racine County!!!” she wrote.
Burlington Democrat Andy Mitchell is having another go at unseating Vos after a first, unsuccessful run in 2014. Mitchell announced his 2016 campaign in January.
