Over $8 million in property changed hands between Feb. 13 through Feb. 17, according to Racine County property transfer records.

Here are the highlights:

  • Further expanding its buffer zone around the Oak Creek Power Plant, We Energies bought 8007 Douglas Ave. from Georgia-based Sucharda Real Estate LLC for $915,000 and 8632 Douglas Avenue from Frank Pranghofer for $402,000. The buffer zone around the We Energies Oak Creek Power Plant has grown to include 200 acres over the past seven years and most of those properties have vanished from the property tax roll.
  • Mequon-based Michael L. Green LLC sold a half-acre parcel of land on South Oakes Road to Eau Claire-based Menard Inc.
  • The Village of Mount Pleasant sold a home at 2109 Racine St. to Racine Habitat for Humanity Inc. for $43,300.
  • Salem-based Great Lakes Foot and Ankle Centers Inc. sold 5820 Washington Ave. to Leap Management LLC to $376,000.
  • Caledonia-based RJP Partners LLC sold 1458 Horizon Boulevard to Robert Gleason, of Mount Pleasant, for $850,000.
  • John Quail, of Elm Grove, sold 408 Main St. to Racine-based PW Partners Inc. for $67,500.
  • Milwaukee Center for Independence Inc. sold 3710 Douglas Ave. to Milwaukee-based Tira LLC. for $250,000.
