Officers at 2:31 a.m. Saturday responded to a call in the 1800 block of 6th Street for a report of a stabbing. When police arrived they found a male victim with four stab wounds to the chest.
Witnesses told officers the man had been drinking with a woman, they got into an argument, and the woman allegedly stabbed the man.
She was found hiding in the basement and taken into custody. The woman was booked in the Racine County Jail on charges of aggravated battery and outstanding warrants.
The man was transported to Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s for treatment. There is no word on his condition.
