Mount Pleasant trustees are expected to approve a number of measures Monday, including the survey map for a new, standalone Chick-Fil-A and a borrowing package to fund a number of road projects.
The new Chick-Fil-A was approved last week by the village’s Planning Commission and is expected to open early next year. It will be only the fourth free-standing Chick-Fil-A in Wisconsin, and it is unknown what will happen to the current location in Regency Mall.
Per tradition, the new restaurant will treat the first 100 customers in line to a free sandwich, waffle fries and soda every week for a year, a story in The Journal Times reads.
Board members will also discuss and most likely approve a borrowing package to address a variety of village road projects. A total of $2.5 million for roads was approved last year in the 2015 municipal budget.
The Mount Pleasant Village Board meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall, 8811 Campus Drive. Call (262) 664-7800.
