Greater numbers of people can keep track of events, understand their impact on people and communities, and become inspired to take meaningful action.
If there were ever a time to join us, it is now. Every contribution, however big or small, powers our journalism and sustains our future. Support the Racine County Eye from as little as $5 – it only takes a minute. Thank you.
All over the country people are challenging one another to make a donation to the ALS Association and then post videos of themselves getting doused with buckets of ice.
Sure, it all may seem a little strange watching the guy that puts criminals away in Racine County get doused with water, but quite frankly the trend has caught on nationwide and it’s raised about $23 million for ALS Association. ALS, or “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
Check out the videos. And if you’ve done it, tag us @racinecountyeye and we’ll post them.
