UPDATE 1 p.m. Friday: Racine Police have a person of interest in custody, but they are still looking for information on this case.

ORIGINAL STORYRacine Police are searching for suspects after a woman suffered life-threatening injuries during an attempted robbery early Friday morning in the 1700 block of Erie St.

The victim, a 59-year-old woman, arrived at the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints emergency room with life threatening knife wounds. She told police she was cut during an attempted armed robbery and major crimes evidence technicians responded to the scene, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.
