Deputies with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department responded to I-94 in the town of Raymond for a call of a reckless driver Friday, finding a woman driving drugged and in possession of heroin.

Witnesses told police Sheri Miller, 44, appeared to be sleeping or intoxicated driving down the interstate, according to a criminal complaint.

When she was pulled over after 3 am. Miller immediately got out of the vehicle, which started to roll away. The deputy reported that Miller’s eyes were bloodshot and she was unsteady on her feet.

After using a K-9 unit to sniff the vehicle, officers found over 6 grams of heroin in her vehicle along with drug paraphernalia.

Miller is charged with a number of violations stemming from the traffic stop including possession of narcotic drugs, marijuana and paraphernalia.

She is also charged with operating while intoxicated and moving violations.
