The annual Racine Art Guild Starving Artist Fair on August 2 at the Racine campus of Gateway is in need of youth volunteers.
Specifically, fair organizers need two to three students to help set up and tear down the fair, including helping artists move their things into and out of their booth space.
Set-up is from 7 to 9 a.m., and tear down is from approximately 3:30 to 5 p.m. The fair itself runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Gateway Technical College, 1001 Main Street. Admission and parking in the area are both free.
This is the 47th year for the fair, and visitors will find a variety of mediums like metal, glass, paint, sculpture, jewelry and more. Live music will be provided by a number of local artists including the Racine Unified string quartet and groups from Walden.
Food from the Hot Dog Man, Envi Lounge and Mark Chappe Concessions will be available for purchase.
Anyone interested in volunteering should call (262) 633-4218.
