Who should attend

“Anybody that believes in the freedom of all people in the United States of America (should attend), because that is what Juneteenth actually celebrates,” said Corey Prince, organizer of the parade.

Additional information

  • Organizers: City of Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department and Connecting All People Incorporated.
  • Sponsors and Partners: The City of Racine, SC Johnson, Johnson Financial and Educators Credit Union.
  • Accessibility: Viewing of the 2nd Annual Racine Juneteenth Parade is from the city streets along the parade route. Crossroads will be blocked off, so if anyone may need to park their wheelchair or handicapped vehicle, they may do so in front of the barricades.

“I definitely think it impacts the community positively by providing education, entertainment and by providing a culturally relevant event to the entire city that may not know about the celebration of Juneteenth, the history of Juneteenth or about some of the Black-owned businesses or organizations that are a part of the parade,” Prince said.

Don’t miss out on all the fun! Bring the community together in Racine and celebrate freedom for all people this Juneteenth.
