May 19, 1965 — June 13, 2024

Jesus Miguel Marquez passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 13, 2024, at the age of 59.

Jesus Miguel Marquez

Jesus, also known as Mike, was affectionately known as Danzig Mike by many friends. Jesus was born in Racine on May 19, 1965, to Miguel and Sally Marquez.

Mike was united in marriage to Debbie Zeitz on July 7, 2007.

Mike had held numerous jobs throughout his life, but the one he will be most remembered for is his bartending job at the Crazy Horse Saloon.

Mike enjoyed taking care of his house plants and his plants outside. Mike had a unique style of art work and wore many rings and bracelets to reflect his personality. Mike enjoyed spending time with his entire family at all the gatherings. He was a free spirit and a remarkable friend. He had a unique gift of making everyone feel welcome.

He was known for his contagious smile, big heart and wonderful sense of humor. He always was the life of the party. He enjoyed the simple things in life, whether it was riding his motorcycle, attending concerts at Alpine Valley, or more recently, sitting around bonfires and listening to music till the wee hours of the morning.

He wasn’t much for traveling, but held a place in Arcadia near and dear to his heart. Mike loved the beauty, seclusion and sometime adventure. Mike often found peace and tranquility while visiting Arcadia. It was his home away from home. He enjoyed watching the Packers play and the side bets with the strip cards. Mike was always ready for breakfast at his favorite restaurant, Yuni’s.

Jesus Miguel Marquez is survived by his four children, Casey (Ben) Starling, Annisette (Randy) Lockhart, Cain (Janessa) Marquez, and Jeremey Marquez. Mike has four surviving siblings, Tony (Karen) Marquez, Micaela Maria (Don) Larson, Joe (Amy) Marquez, and Cela Marquez.

Mike is also survived by 18 grandchildren and brother-in-law Gerald (Carmel) Johnson, and wife, Debbie Marquez. He also had two bonus blood brothers Bobby and Danny Krencisz. He also has many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends, too numerous to mention all by name.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Sally Marquez; brother, Johnny Marquez; sister, Carmel Johnson; daughter, Mariah Marquez; nephew, Johnny James; and the mother of two of his children, Rebecca Lopez.
