RAYMOND, WI — Four candidates are running in the recall election on Tuesday, Feb. 27, of two Raymond school board members, one of whom resigned, leaving her seat vacant.

Janell Wise and former board member Gwen Keller are targeted for recall because a loosely organized group — Raymond Community for Truth and Transparency — was unhappy with what they said was a lack of transparency by the Board of Education.

Keller resigned in January, 10 days after the recall effort against her was certified, telling interim Superintendent James Heiden in an email that she would find other ways to serve her community.

Jennifer Hribar, Dean Langenfeld, and Mike Pauers all filed paperwork to have their names on the recall election ballot. Hribar is running against Wise, and Langenfeld and Pauers are running against each other to fill Keller’s seat.
