RAYMOND, WI — The Raymond School District has three finalists to fill the vacant superintendent role, and the community is invited to meet them during a special meeting of the Board of Education on Monday.
The announcement was made by the district in a press release sent to the media on Friday.
Dr. James Heiden has been the interim superintendent since January. Former Superintendent Michael Garvey resigned, and his last day was Dec. 31.

In the release, School Board President Audrey Kostuch said narrowing the list of candidates to the final three was challenging, and she’s confident the right choice for Raymond is among them.
“We are pleased with the quality of candidates in our search process. We had a difficult time narrowing the candidate pool down to three finalists,” she said. “The Board looks forward to learning more about the individual finalists next week.”
Community invited to meet finalists
The Raymond School community is invited to attend a special board meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 8 at Raymond School to meet the candidates during a special community listening event.
The three finalists will each give a presentation about themselves that will reveal what led them to apply for the position and what they feel they have to offer the district.
Afterward, attendees will be asked for their insights on each of the candidates. Cards will be provided at the meeting. Once collected, district staff and the board will take these comments under advisement as it considers which individual is the best fit.
Assuming contract negotiations are successful with the chosen candidate, they will begin July 1, 2024.
