RACINE — A 33-year-old Racine man faces three felony drug-related charges after two separate undercover drug purchases late last year.

Richard Dukes is charged with felony counts of manufacturing/delivering cocaine less than 1 gram, manufacturing/delivering cocaine between 1 and 5 grams and delivery of fentanyl, which carry a total possible prison term of 37 years, six months and a $100,000 fine.

Dukes remains in custody in the Racine County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond. He is due back in Racine County Circuit Court on July 10, for an 8:30 a.m. status conference.

The criminal complaint: Parking lot drug deal reveals Dukes as repeat offender

A confidential informant met with Dukes on Dec. 29, 2023, in the Walgreens parking lot on Washington Avenue and purchased .5 grams of what later tested positive for crack cocaine.

The second purchase happened Jan. 5, when an informant purchased 1.1 grams of crack cocaine from Dukes in the Kohl’s parking lot on Washington Avenue in the village of Mount Pleasant.

Criminal court records show that Dukes is charged as a repeat-offender. He has a felony conviction in Kenosha County in 2017.
