Jack was born in Fresno, Calif., on Sept. 13, 1947, to Kaiser and Dirouhi (née Tokatlian) Kazarian as the youngest of four brothers.

He attended Horlick High School and graduated in 1966. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1975.

On June 29, 1985, Jack married the former Pamela Shipman in a ceremony at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church and resided in Racine.

Jack was an avid sailor for over 20 years and was a member of the Racine Yacht Club. Jack and Pam’s lives were filled with adventure as they traveled the country in their mobile home or sailed their boat to the Caribbean and Central America. They eventually nestled into their current home where they enjoyed hosting friends and family for summertime events.

Jack will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was an active member of St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church and he mentored and guided dozens of youths to discover the spirit within. He served without being asked. Jack will be remembered for his warmth, generosity and the profound impact he had on the lives of others.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Kazarian; brother, Sarkis (Nancy) Kazarian; sister-in-law, Sosi Kazarian; nephew, Kai (Gay) Kazarian; nieces, Holly (Robert) Dadekian, Carol (Steve) Cariello, Tamar (Vahag) Vartanian, and Lara (Dan) Krueger. Jack Kazarian is also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, George Kazarian and Peter Kazarian.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on April 4, with a 10 a.m. service to follow, at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 4605 Erie St., with Fr. Avedis Kalayjian officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mesrob Armenian Church have been suggested.
