Caledonia Police logoCaledonia Police are out looking for a male suspect in hit and run crash that happened a Pick’N Save, 5111 Douglas Ave., at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday.

The male driver, Antonio Ortiz, 21, of Racine, was last seen driving a red 1998 Chevrolet Blazer with a license plate of 610whn, according to preliminary reports.

One person suffered minor injuries following a two-car crash and the driver of the vehicle left the scene, said Lt. Gary Larsen.

“The person cut through Crawford Park and went along side the pavilion, the bailed out of the vehicle  and ran toward Sunshine Drive,” Larsen said. “They didn’t catch him.”

The owner of the car that fled told police that their grand daughter had the vehicle, but the driver at the scene of the crash was a male.
