Community State Bank Robbery Suspect1

Submitted by Crime Stoppers of Racine County

The Mount Pleasant Police Department in conjunction with CRIME STOPPERS of Racine County Inc. is seeking information on a Bank Robbery that occurred in the Village of Mount Pleasant.

On 01/17/2014 at 1:03 pm Mt. Pleasant Police Officers responded to a hold up alarm at the Community State Bank located at 8930 Washington Ave. This is near the intersection of STH 20 and 90th St. The Bank Robbery suspect can be described as:

• Black male

• 600 to 601 feet tall

• Brown Carhartt jacket with hood

• Pilot type sunglasses

• Blue jeans

• White Nike hi-tops

Investigators learned that the suspect approached the bank after he had been walking Southbound on 90th St where he was coming from the area of the Frontage Rd. He may have been dropped off in that area.

The suspect presented a note to a bank teller where he demanded money. No gun was displayed. After the teller provided an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, he exited the bank and headed east towards Fountain Hills Dr.

Mt. Pleasant K-9 (Bones) was on the scene shortly after the robbery. He was able to track a scent of the suspect East of the bank through the parking lot of an adjacent business. The scent ended at Fountain Hills Dr. It is believed that the suspect entered a vehicle at that location and left the area.

If anyone was in the area of 90th St. and the Frontage Rd. shortly before 1:00 pm on 01/17/2014 and remembers seeing a person matching the above description who was either walking or remembers this person getting out of a vehicle, please contact Crime Stoppers.

This is an ongoing investigation at this time and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-636-9330, email: http://racine.crimestoppersweb.com, or text message: RACS to 274637(crimes).
