Pot Arrest

Two Milwaukee men are facing felony drug charges after Racine County Sheriff’s deputies say they found two-and-half pounds of pot during a routine traffic stop on I-94.

At 9:46 p.m. Thursday, deputies pulled over Alexander D. Dixon, 24, and Pierre J. Slater, 25, because the car they were in committed a lane deviation and the plate registration came back as improper, a press release from the RCSD reads.

When deputies made contact with the driver, the smell of fresh marijuana was strong. A search of the car revealed 1,151.5 grams  – or 2.5 pounds – of marijuana.

Both Dixon and Slater were taken into custody and are being held at the Racine County Jail on booking charges of possession with the intent to deliver.

Investigators with RCSD believe the suspects were transporting the drugs from Illinois to Milwaukee.
