A “significant amount” of drugs is off the street and suspects are behind bars after K9 Dozer sniffed for the contraband during a traffic stop Monday.

Racine police posted on the K-9 Unit’s Facebook page that COP officers initiated a traffic stop at 8:15 p.m. Monday.

Based on officer suspicions during the stop they requested K9 Dozer and his partner respond to the scene and conduct an open-air sniff around the perimeter of the vehicle.

When Dozer alerted on the truck, police opened the compartment and found “a significant amount of suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.”

One of the occupants of the vehicle was taken into custody and booked into the Racine County Jail on charges of drug possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of felony bail jumping.
