Mount Pleasant police say a 34-year-old Kenosha man was booked into the Racine County Jail Monday on charges of driving under the influence and drug possession.

At 3 p.m. Monday officers were called to the Lake Park neighborhood near the intersection of Highways 32 and KR for a report of a man who was slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle. After two cycles of the traffic light there, the driver continued north on Highway 32.

Police say they located the vehicle in question and took the driver into custody on the following charges:

  • Operating while intoxicated, first offense
  • Possession of a schedule II narcotic
  • Possession of heroin
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Charges were forwarded to the Racine County District Attorney’s office for review.
