Three of four armed robbery suspects are in police custody, and Racine police are asking for the public’s help finding the final subject.

Through a press release distributed Tuesday afternoon, RAPD Lt. Al Days said that three boys – ages 13, 14 and 15 – were in custody at the juvenile detention center after being apprehended shortly after they robbed two people sitting in a vehicle around 9 p.m. Monday night in the 1200 block of Geneva Street.

The people in the car told police they were approached by four black males. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded that one of the victims hand over their bag. When they refused, the boy hit the victim with the butt of the handgun, grabbed the bag and fled the area on foot with the other suspects.

Police found three of the four boys a short distance away and took them into custody. The 14-year-old is facing a felony armed robbery charge while the 13- and 15-year-olds are each facing a felony charge of armed robbery – party to a crime.
