The Washington Park Panthers boys basketball team clinched the Southeast Conference last week and secured their 10th straight win with a come-from-behind victory over Wauwatosa East Tuesday.

Park Coach Jim Betker told The Journal Times he wasn’t worried about his team even though they trailed 36-27 at the half, and in the end, his confidence in his players was validated.

“There’s a composure among the kids that, when it’s time to turn it on, they do,” Betker is quoted as saying.

Park is ranked No. 2 statewide by the Associated Press, coming in behind Stevens Point.

The Panthers next play the Horlick Rebels Friday at Park.
