Carol Ockey-Katt, 57, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18. Carol was born in Racine, July 1, 1959, daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth (Nee: Dunk) Ockey.
Carol graduated from UW-Parkside magna cum laude with a degree in Medieval German History and a minor in German Language. She was a historian who prided herself in knowing what was going on in the world and was fluent in several languages. Carol had a great love for traveling.
Survivors include her former husband, David L. Katt; her son, Samuel James Katt; sisters and brother, Susan (Stephen) Mueller, David (Kathy) Ockey, Janice (Wayne) Obenberger, Margaret (Robert) Bugalski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Reilly.
A time of gathering celebrating Carol’s life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main Street. Memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
