Racine County, in partnership with Gateway Technical College, is extending the summer hours of the Adult Education Center (AEC) at Workforce Solutions located at 1717 Taylor Avenue in Racine. The AEC is an open lab where community members who want to prepare for the General Education Diploma (GED) or upgrade their basic academic, computer and keyboarding skills, can work at their own pace.

The extended summer hours will allow more flexibility and opportunities for adult learners to take advantage of the no-cost educational programs that are available at the AEC.

Learn More Earn More is more than the GED initiative slogan – it’s reality. With a GED, annual wages increase by $4,000 and it could be more depending upon the job. Having this credential creates a pathway for pursuing additional training and education that ultimately produce family-supporting jobs.

Customers who earn their GED will be granted priority enrollment in boot camp training programs operated in partnership between Racine County Workforce Solutions and Gateway Technical College.

Take the first step towards a brighter future by connecting with the Adult Education Center by phone at (262) 638.6458, online at www.racinecounty.com/aec or in person at 1717 Taylor Avenue in Racine.
