George W. Moravec, 77, passed away on Saturday at the Veteran’s Home in Union Grove. George was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 14, 1940, and was the son of the late George and Anna (Nee: Bartl) Moravec.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force. On December 29, 1990 he was united in marriage to Diane M. Dietel who preceded him in death on October 8, 2016. George was employed by General Electric for twenty-nine years. An excellent craftsman, George enjoyed woodworking.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Jeffrey (Sylvia) Moravec, Tim (Daniele) Moravec, Anna Marie (Brian) Osterman, MaryJo Trzebny, Roberta Gleason, Diana (Dean) Davison, Robert Tusa, Christina (Chad) Held; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Marsha (Earl) Jolls; nieces nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and second wife, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Frances (Nee: Gambino).
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend David P. Ramirez officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials to the Veteran’s Home in Union Grove have been suggested.
