An escaped prisoner from the Ellsworth Correctional Facility in Union Grove was back in custody Thursday afternoon.

A criminal complaint filed against Jennifer M. Drost, 41, Beloit, charges here with one felony count of escape, which carries a fine of $10,000 and six years in prison. Drost was being held Thursday on a $10,000 cash bond in the Racine County Jail.

Drost is due back in court for a preliminary hearing June 6 at 9 a.m.

According to the criminal complaint:

Police were called to the facility April 20 and advised that Drost, who was serving a sentence for her fifth drunken driving conviction in Rock County, had failed to return from her work-release job at Calumet Meats in Kenosha County.

Drost’s supervisor told police she had been at work that morning but did not board the transport vehicle to return to the facility.
