Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a local nonprofit that gives to children in need, has delivered brand new beds to 103 kids as of December 17 in Racine and Kenosha.

They have been on pace to complete 15 beds/month since June. However, there are still 114 kids on the waiting list and they don’t have enough funds to complete these builds. The cost to build and equip a bed is $150-$175, which means they need to raise $17,000-$20,000. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is looking for sponsorships to meet the demand for these beds. To find out more about sponsorship, visit their website.

One way to help: Racine/Kenosha Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace was chosen as the pilot chapter for Thrivent Choice Dollars. If you are a member of Thrivent and wish to make a donation, you can find out more at https://www.thrivent.com/making-a-difference/living-generously/thrivent-choice/.
