Litecoin (LTC) is one of the oldest cryptocurrencies out there. It’s, therefore, one of the currencies with the most integrations and partnerships. It took a while for traditional and established companies to accept a partnership with a cryptocurrency. When cryptos are widely used, they are seen as desirable sponsors, and partnerships such as these are on the rise.

This article will outline some of the most important integrations and collaborations LTC engages in and how those businesses and the LTC shape them.

Litecoin integrations and collaborations

UFC 232

Litecoin Foundation and UFC started their partnership in 2018. The cryptocurrency has sponsored many UFC events, and the LTC logo is prominently placed on the canvas of the UFC fights on December 29, 2018, in Inglewood, California. The partnership was widely welcomed both in the world of crypto and among UFC fans.

UFC is one of the biggest brand names in the world of professional sports, and it was considered a huge achievement for an altcoin to become associated with it. It also opened the door for sponsoring fan events and e-sports events, and many of these have come to fruition since.

Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins were among the first NFL teams to realize the importance of cryptocurrencies. Litecoin became the team’s official cryptocurrency in 2019. It gave the cryptocurrency a chance to connect with the Dolphin fan base, which is known as among the most devoted fans in the NFL.

The Dolphins immediately allowed their fans to purchase tickets and memorabilia using Litecoin, both online and at the ticket kiosks. This greatly improved the fan experience and showed that there’s a place for crypto in the world of professional sports.

Casinos

Litecoin is in partnership with many different casinos. These gambling establishments provide Litecoin as their only available crypto payment option or one among many.  Some casinos also provide a bonus for users who pay with Litecoin. The bonus can come in the form of reduced fees or a deposit bonus in which the casino matches a player’s deposit with Litecoin.

The best Litecoin casinos provide a mixture of these bonuses and some that aren’t related to the payment method, such as free spins. It’s important to note that a bonus is usually tied to some sort of wagering requirement that the player needs to meet to use it.

WEG Bank AG

Litecoin owns equity in WEG Bank AG, even though not on its own. The Litecoin Foundation, TokenPay, and a startup, Nimiq, own thirty percent of the bank. It’s a small German bank with a small footprint in the finance world. Still, it was an important partnership because it connected a crypto company and a traditional financial institution.

Not much was said about how the crypto tech was incorporated into the bank’s operations, if at all. Litecoin was ahead of its time with this cooperation, and now traditional finance institutions are becoming much more widely associated with crypto.

NordVPN

NordVPN is one of the biggest and most trusted VPNs out there, with an excellent track record and a huge base of users. It also became one of the first VPNs to allow its customers to make payments using crypto – specifically with Bitcoin and Litecoin only.

Unlike other integrations, this one wasn’t announced and was followed by an extensive marketing campaign. Instead, the service just included crypto as one of its payment options, as it already included payments via cards and bank accounts. The two services go well together, as both can increase online privacy and safety.

Travala

Travala is an online hotel accommodation service, and it was among the first to authorize payments in crypto for its users. Travala is known for providing huge discounts on hospitality services to its customers and having generous rewards and loyalty programs for users who pay in crypto.

Litecoin became its official crypto partner, and it was one of the first cryptos it integrated with. Litecoin also lists Travala as its official accommodation partner, and both services offer various discounts and special offers for its combined user pool.

Re/Max/London

Re/MAX London is a real-estate rental service based in the United Kingdom. The team was an early adopter of cryptocurrency payments, as the industry has great potential for such payments – given how important immutable records are in the real estate world. It has integrated its payment system with the use of Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin since 2015.

The cooperation started by simply using crypto as a payment method, but from day one, Re/MAX London was looking for the benefits of using blockchain code to keep parties to an agreement. In the years after this partnership was signed, many other companies and industries focused on this particular tech benefit as the main reason to use crypto.

Glory Kickboxing (Glory World Series)

Glory Kickboxing (formerly known as Glory World Series) is an international kickboxing promotion company with six different weight classes. It’s always been less popular than MMA or boxing, but it has a loyal fan base that is enthusiastic about the sport. Litecoin Foundation has partnered with Kickboxing as a part of a broader strategy to appeal to fans who don’t otherwise use crypto.

The partnership allowed Litecoin to be used in Glory Kickboxing’s online merchandise platform and during international events. The league was founded in 2012 and started its partnership with Litecoin in 2019.

eGifter

eGifter is an online service that provides gift cards. It’s a competitive market, and there are bigger brands in it than eGifter, but it does stand out with the quality of its offer and an eye for innovation. eGifter integrated its service with Litecoin, simply allowing its users to make purchases using it as a payment option. Litecoin can be used to buy gift cards for hundreds of brands on eGifter.

eGifter also started emphasizing the benefits of using crypto for payments early on, especially focusing on the lack of fees involved. Therefore, it was an early adopter, and many other companies followed along.

San Diego International Film Festival

In October 2019, the Litecoin Foundation announced that they partnered with the San Diego International Film Festival to help the adoption of LTC. It was an important milestone for the altcoin company because it was important for the crypto industry to branch out to entertainment and culture.

The attendees of 2019’s San Diego International Film Festival, or SDIFF, were given free Litecoins as long as they had a pass for the whole six days of the festival. The festival is an important cultural touchstone for the world of independent film, and it’s a great fit for Litecoin as an innovator in its own industry.

Oppenheim Law

Oppenheim Law is a law firm in Weston, Florida that handles business-related and real estate clients. It started accepting Litecoin payments in 2017. It also accepted Bitcoin and Ethereum as the two most prominent currencies. It was an important milestone because the company was among the first in its industry to accept the new payment method, at least among reputable firms.

It opened the way for other traditional businesses and industries to accept crypto payments. Almost all industries are already doing it or looking for ways to accommodate their crypto-paying clients.

Litecoin is one of the most successful altcoins in the industry, and it’s managed to produce many partnerships and collaborations with both innovative and traditional brands. In many ways, other cryptocurrencies have been following its example in the last couple of years.
