Obituary for Thomas W. Joyce

January 8, 1947 — March 13, 2024

Thomas W. Joyce was born Jan. 8, 1947, in Racine to Donald and Marcella (née Henning) Joyce. He was a resident of Sturtevant since 1954. He attended Sturtevant Elementary School and Horlick High School.

Tom worked at many jobs, including Western Printing, Racine Hydraulics and Qualheim Inc., Badgerland Packers, A&E Manufacturing, Gentile Oldsmobile, Joyce Brothers’ Auto Inspection and Repair, Freudenwald Oldsmobile and Joyce Brothers Restoration.

He was also owner/operator of Tom’s 4 Mile Pugh Service Station in the 1970’s. Tom restored cars from the 1950s to the 1970s right up until the end. He was also president of the Oldsmobile Club of Wisconsin for many years.

He is survived by his mother, Marcella Joyce; two sons, James and Edward; and ten grandchildren, including Caleb Joyce; aunts, Gen Joyce and Kathaleen Liedtke; sister-in-law, Sharon, other nieces, nephews, cousins, ex-wife Isabel Joyce and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; first wife, Louise Northrup; brother, Gary Joyce; son, Hernan Joyce; and ex-wife, Sandra Cecchini.

Services

According to Tom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
