She was united in marriage to Thomas R. Stuebe at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on June 29, 1957.

Eileen kept a very busy schedule with friends, dog grooming, various physical activities, church, and of course her family. Eileen was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, and Sunday School teacher, and she ran her own business as a dog groomer, never retiring and working until her final days. She loved caring for her furry friends and connecting with their humans regularly.

Eileen had many hobbies: golfing, bowling, lunch dates, gatherings with friends, and taking care of her family. She was the best cleaner/organizer one could ever meet! She greatly enjoyed it and was always the first to help family and friends whenever needed. She was truly the family matriarch, her grandchildren still regularly seeking guidance and wisdom from her many years of life.

She deeply missed her husband and soulmate these last 16 months and was looking forward to seeing “her boyfriend” again in heaven. Eileen will be remembered for being a friend to all; caring, loving, hard-working, genuine, and leaving her imprint on more people than one can count.

Eileen will be dearly missed by her children, Wendy (Terry) Lail, and Tim (Kim) Stuebe; grandchildren, Melissa (Adam) Pratt, Sarah (Brian) Cunningham, Julie Lail; and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Taylor, and Devon, and the newest addition, Eilee Cunningham; sister-in-law, Carol St. James; brother-in-law, Lee Mohrbacher; dear nieces and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to her husband, parents, and sisters, Eileen was preceded in death by her three brothers-in-law and sister-in-law.

Family and friends are invited to meet for visitation from 10 a.m. to noon on May 13 at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home. A service celebrating her life will take place at noon with Rev. Matt James officiating. Her interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
