Despite a fourth quarter score from Hartford, Joseph Ollman helped push Homestead to their seventh win of the season. Ollman gave Homestead an edge with three rushing touchdowns in a close 28-24 win on Friday night.

On Harford’s first possession of the game, quarterback Austin Kutz began the scoring with a 61-yard connection to Bly Bielmeier before Joseph Ollman used two rushing touchdowns to give Homestead a 14-7 lead. Tanner Navin added a 21-yard field goal with 35 seconds left in the quarter to cap the first period scoring.

With 9:08 remaining in the half, Homestead’s Sal Ballstrieri scored on a 17-yard touchdown run before Noah Deibert used a rushing touchdown of his own to cut the Homestead lead to 21-17 at the half. 

Late in the third quarter, Ballstrieri connected on a 25-yard touchdown pass to regain the 11 point lead. With 9:35 remaining in the fourth quarter, Kutz connected with AJ Pepin on a 10-yard touchdown pass to provide the final score. 

Ollman led Homestead in the win with 143 yards on 24 carries. Kutz led Hartford with 123 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, while Deibert led the rushing attack with 94 yards on 16 carries. 

Homestead goes to 7-1 on the season, while Hartford falls to 5-2. Homestead takes on Cedarburg, while Hartford takes on Whitefish Bay next week.
