MOUNT PLEASANT, WI — A Kenosha man faces several charges, including felonies, after a high-speed collision that resulted in a rollover crash involving two vehicles.

According to a press release from the Mount Pleasant Police Department, officers were called at 5:18 p.m. Sunday, April 28, to the 5200 block of Meachem Road.

When they arrived, police found a Pontiac G6, driven by 28-year-old Gregory T. Jelks, of Kenosha, and a Nissan Maxima.

Jelks was reportedly speeding southbound at over 100 mph and was seen passing other cars on the right. He allegedly rear-ended the Maxima, also heading south, resulting in the rollover crash, the release continues.

The force of the collision caused both vehicles to roll over.

Jelks, who police say was impaired at the time of the accident, was arrested and faces charges including operating while intoxicated (OWI) causing injury, three counts of first-degree reckless endangering safety, reckless driving, and two counts of bail jumping.

He was transported to Racine County Jail. The driver of the Nissan Maxima was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
